The Buzz About HAFA
I have installed a short You Tube presentation on the homepage of my Website, www.mike-bryantcanhelp.com that will help explain the basics of the program. If you know someone who might be in need of this help, please pass this along to them. Understanding the HAFA Program
Beginning April 5th, there is big news for homeowners in America who owe more than their home is worth and don’t know what to do about it. In an effort to slow the rising number of foreclosures, a government-backed program has been released: the Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives Program (HAFA). Basically, the program aims to save as many Americans from foreclosure as possible, which will also help to save the overall value of the surrounding communities.
Here's the short and sweet of it: HAFA offers incentives to lenders and homeowners who avoid foreclosure through short sales and deeds-in-lieu. HAFA also sets time frames that ensure lenders don't drag their feet in responding to homeowners.
